The colored version of Darren Hare and his wife. Lots of mixed media with this one. About 30 minutes.

I pushed further on the 6/8 Daily Artage, and am pretty pleased with the results. I’m usually more timid when it comes to painting faces, but the bolder look definitely works better. About 15 minutes.

Another watercolor and colored pencil piece. About 25 minutes.

Since I had the sketch, I figured why not use it for a watercolor?
Also used Verithin Prismacolor pencils. About 25 minutes.
I know I wrote that Richard has blonde hair in his youth, but I see him more of a redhead now…

Still undecided on Khiro’s manner of dress, so I went with the classic trenchcoat for my first attempt. No reference, about 2 minutes.

More flesh tone practice. The hand looks odd compared with the arm angle because the model in the reference photo leaned on her left arm and held the mask in her right hand. Prismacolor pencils, about 30 minutes.

Just a quick test at flesh tones with colored pencils. About 15 minutes.

This WILL be a watercolor one day, although it was great fun blowing the dust off my Prismacolors. Forgot to scratch in white for the feathers on the left wing…
Colored pencils, reference used, about 30 minutes.

No reference, about ten minutes to sketch and ink. Kind of bad.

Sketch that may turn into something more finalized. Need to look up references for the head and hip angles…anyway, about 5 minutes.
