Saint Know-All

Hi, I’m Saint Know-All.

I realize my name probably makes very little sense, but there you go. This blog will make very little sense as well. I can, however, give you a broad overview of what it will contain:

Art.  More than a hobby but less than a career, I love the act of artage.  I have not gone to art school and I have never pursued a career as an illustrator or graphic designer or some such thing; I’m an English major, folks.

But since I love mucking around with different media and figuring out what went well and what went so very, very wrong, I’ve decided to post little tips from time to time.  I may also post links to artists or art supply sites that deserve some love.

I’ve also started a “Daily Artage” project, where each day I have to either draw or paint something. I’ve fallen into the nasty habit of going for weeks without lifting a pencil or a brush, and I figure this is a good way to snap out of it. So each day I will post a fresh piece of artage, though I warn you, it may destroy your eyes. These are going to be quick pieces, with no more than an hour spent on each one.

Reviews.  When I see a bad movie or read a bad book, I want it to pay for all the suffering it’s given me.  How do I do this?  By mocking it, of course!  Which is why this blog will contain many snarky reviews.  Since it’s always nice to have a balance, though, I will also post reviews of movies, music, and books that I liked.  Can’t be bitchy all the time.

Writing.  Now writing is something I’m trying to pursue as a career, by which I mean I write stories that I try to get published.  Emphasis on try.  Most of my articles and thoughts on writing can be found on Anti-Shurtugal.com, though you may find a few rants on the subject from time to time on this blog.

Aaaand…yeah, that about does it.  Bored yet?
